In short
The recipes, texts and photos on hoerup.dk are written, developed and photographed by me, Jens Hørup, and are protected by copyright. You are very welcome to cook the food, save recipes for yourself and share links. You may not copy recipes or photos to other websites, social media, apps, books or for commercial purposes without my written permission.
What you are welcome to do
- Cook the dishes at home, for friends and family or at work – that is what they are for.
- Print a recipe or save it for your own private use.
- Link to a recipe and share the link, for example on social media or in a message. The preview with image and title that the service generates from the link is perfectly fine.
- Quote briefly, such as the title and a single sentence, with clear attribution and a link to the recipe on hoerup.dk.
- Make your own version of a dish and say it was inspired by hoerup.dk with a link – as long as you write the method in your own words and use your own photos.
What requires my written permission
- Copying whole recipes or substantial parts of them (method, introduction, tips) to other websites, blogs, apps, recipe databases, newsletters or print – even with attribution.
- Using my photos, including cropped, edited, as screenshots or with attribution. Photographs are protected whether or not they are artistic.
- Any commercial use, for example in marketing, on packaging and products, in books, courses or paid services.
- Collecting content automatically (scraping) to republish it or gather it in another service.
- Giving the impression that I endorse or am behind a product, company or restaurant.
Search engines and AI
Search engines are welcome to index the site. AI services (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity) may use the content to answer questions, provided they clearly credit hoerup.dk as the source with a link to the recipe. Using the texts or photos to train AI models is not permitted without my written permission. This applies even if a crawler technically has access to the site.

Content by others
Where another author is named, for example for a recipe from a chef or a book, the rights belong to them. Names of restaurants and products belong to their owners.
Use the recipes sensibly
The recipes are made and tested in my own kitchen, but the result depends on ingredients, equipment and the cook. Check for allergens yourself and follow good food safety practice – especially with meat, fish, eggs, sous vide, smoking, curing and fermentation. Times and temperatures are guidelines. I cannot accept responsibility for the result or for any harm arising from the use of the recipes. Links to other sites are provided as a service; I am not responsible for their content.

You can rate recipes from 1 to 5 stars. Votes that appear automated or manipulated may be removed without notice.
